Dr. Qinbai Yun obtained his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2013 and M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2016 from Tsinghua University, China. After completing his Ph.D. study in Materials Science and Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2020, he moved to City University of Hong Kong to conduct postdoctoral research. From May 2023, he is appointed as a Research Assistant Professor in the Energy Institute and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at HKUST. Dr. Yun’s research interests focus on the preparation of micro-/nanostructured metallic materials with well-defined structure and their applications in catalysis and energy storage.
